Trafficator baffle plate
Could someone please explain what the purpose of the Trafficator baffle plate is? I have re-installed trafficators on my 1959 2 door saloon and have fabricated the 2 baffle plates which mount inside the B post on the Trafficator fixing screws but what are they for?

Re: Trafficator baffle plate
Is it perpendicular to the body and on the back side of the trafficator? Could it be to keep any incoming water from reaching the interior side panel?

I've often thought the same thing.......and I'm STILL baffled.

As far as I am aware, the baffle plate should stop water entering the inside but also reduce wind noise.

Ah! Wind noise. I think you may have answered my question Philip. Thanks!
