Details of 3ltr Minor/s in Warwickshire

Post by Oddball67 »

Some 20+ years ago (showing my age!) there used to 2 or maybe 3 Custom Minors in or around the Coventry/Warwickshire area. I remember they were powered by the Ford 3ltr V6 and at least one of them was Supercharged.
Found an old Pic of a Green one but I'm fairly sure there was a Red and/or a Black one?

I remember also seeing them at Santa Pod occassionally going down the strip.

Can anyone remember them and, does anyone have any pics? I'm interested in the way they were built as, apart from alloy wheels they looked quite normal.

Cheers.

You'll find possibly the best pics of modded Minors here:

Saw lots of interesting and appealing Minors on the site you suggested but, not the ones I was looking for.

Thanks anyway.

Does anyone else know of these Customised minors in the area, and better still have any pics etc?

I know of a green low light convertible spaceframed with a front mid mount 2 litre 16V Fiat Lancia, double wishbones and carbon panels in the Coventry area. It isnt seen often on the road though............

Hi, I remember a minor featured in a magazine called street machine back in march of 1979, could have been 78. The colour was poppy red with 3ltr running gear looking pretty standard. Don't know where it was from though.

I saw it drive past once in Leamington (whitnash area) a couple of years ago... hoping to see it again sometime as AFAIK you're back in this neck of the woods. ;-)

Yes back in the area after a couple of periods living in Scandinavia.

The car is in the garage for a bit of exhaust manifold work and a new clutch. It will be on the road again next spring and hopefully it will get some use!
