It depends on what you find when you start to remove panels/wings. The wood can be good on a Traveller but the metal supporting it -say on the inner rear wings and rear quarters could need replacing. If you are planning to do it all yourself £2K should be ok, but if you need to get in a professional for welding it could be more.

With mine when I took it all apart, I lifted the entire wooden back off in one piece, I was then able to replace the rotten timber over one wing and completely strip, bleach, soak in wood preserver, re-stain and varnish it all. Also the rusty sections could be replaced too, then the whole lot went back on again.
All the new parts, bolts, rubber fittings cost about £800
The re-spray and welding cost £2000, that was my cousin, so mates rates.
It took from 1st Jan till September and that was most weekends and days off work too!
Never under estimate all the fiddly bits and how much all the smaller bits cost, they really do add up, and a good paint job is much more now, good luck!
My 1956 Series 11 Traveller! Bought when I was 17 (1985)....sold 6 years (1991) later......bought back 9 years after that! (2000) With 6 different owners in the middle, what a lucky boy I am!
